O God, sometimes I am only a religious consumer. I enjoy the feeling of community when I go to church. I delight in the beauty and music of worship. I love to be inspired. But when called upon to witness, I back-pedal. When called upon to serve the needy, I make excuses. I consume love always, but share it only
sporadically.
God, forgive me when I am a religious consumer. Make me a good steward, to use wisely and to share generously. Make me an humble servant, to serve those whom You love. Make me a faithful witness, to share the living water of the gospel.
