If possible, may I borrow your ears for a minute? Today, I want to share a little story with you, Living the Love Walk Family. I was talking to one of our faithful soldiers who works for me. She was sharing about the informal relationship she has with her Pastor and how it was bothering her.
An example she used was when she would try to get some answers, or encouragement, she would only hear a scripture, or that everything is going to be all right. He preaches the Word very well, but never has time to give that personal touch to his people. We need that from each other time to time.
See, Living the Love Walk Family, there’s a lot of churches out there like that and we have Christians dying spiritually right here in our churches because of the lack of the Love Walk. We all know what God and the Word says, but sometimes…no, a lot of times… we need that Phileo Love from each other. You know, the brotherly, intimate, compassionate, straight from the heart personal words of love.
Let’s show our personal love and concern, and talk to each other. Whether it’s a person who you are fellowshipping with, your co-worker, best friend, husband or wife.
You know Jesus demonstrated his love walk not just with scripture, but living the Love Walk in his interactions with His people. Jesus sat down and talked with them in-between sermons, he even washed their feet. Let’s go deeper than that; HE EVEN DIED ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS!
So, my family, what are we going to do? Live the scriptures or just quote the scriptures?
Thanks for listening!
