As you know 1st Corinthians 13 is the Love Story. And I like to also look at it as the measuring cup for how much unconditional Love is in me. Therefore as I read the Love Story I like to replace the word Love and input my name and see where I stand. So as we quoted 1st Corth. 13 below ask yourself are you a Love Walker at this beginning stage of the Love Walk Path.
1 Corinthians 13:1-8
And now I will show you the most excellent way. It I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and I have a faith that can move a mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
(This is where you replace Love with your name)
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always persevere.
Love never fails.
Since we are looking at our self in the mirror of love, let’s go a step further and look at ourselves in the mirror the Fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
(So today I ask you. Does the world see these in you today? When you leave someone present are these the words people would use to describe you?)
So are we Love Walker of Jesus Christ or just mockers of the Word?…Which one are we????????
So are we ready to go further?????? See you next week.
