Message to the Overcomer
God, you said…
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have; for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
Conversation is not only verbal but also a lifestyle. Living a lifestyle free from desiring the possessions of others is God’s desire for us. How difficult it can be sometimes, when others seem to get things, move up in the world, and progress naturally and even spiritually. However, our charge is to be content with where we are in God; How God is using us in any given season and our lot in life. God Knows, He sees and His timing is not our timing. He said, He will never leave me or forsake me. What am I to do with that statement? Do I believe Him or believe my environment; an environment that is seemingly not living up to my expectations. Do I blame God, accusing Him of not being available to me? Believe God, when you can’t feel Him. Believe God, when you don’t hear Him. Believe God, trust Him in every situation, and acknowledge His presence always. Thank Him for never leaving you or forsaking you, because he said He never would. That is a Faith walk. Believing and trusting God in spite of what you see; what you hear; how you feel and your personal desires. After all we walk by faith and not by sight.
