Peace in Trials
This may sound strange to you, but we should actually thank God when things don’t go our way. Why? It’s because spiritual blessings come beautifully wrapped in trials. The Apostle Paul said we should consider it joy whenever we face trials of many kind, and considering that we live in a fallen world, we should rightfully expect a few adverse circumstances, even on a daily basis. But take heart dear friend; fret not! He has overcome the world.
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.
