I AM GOD…
My precious daughter-in-law brought to mind a collage of startling and devastating events that have taken place over the past few years. To name a few there was 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and most recently the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan. This is not even the tip of the iceberg; imagine all of the disastrous events that don’t make it to the news.
One may think that some of these events are coincidental; however, when it comes to God nothing is ever coincidental, accidental, or circumstantial. God knows exactly what He is doing and everything that happens in life has a purpose. Whether it is to eliminate, educate or elevate, God doesn’t make mistakes. What is so profound is, when it comes to God, we don’t have to be taken by surprise. He said He would make all things known to us. All we have to do is pay attention.
Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.
