Salvation: The Ultimate Independence
Not many days ago many Americans celebrated July 4th as Independence Day. This holiday commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Many celebrated by having barbecues, picnics, enjoying fireworks, and other ways.
What’s profound is that we often fail to acknowledge or celebrate the Independence given to us the moment we accepted Christ. That’s worth celebrating every day. What’s more, this Independence isn’t exclusive to Americans only, it’s for whosoever believes. It gives life, freedom, and liberty. This Independence frees us from fear, strongholds, confusion, and doubt. Let’s give praise where praise is due. To God be the glory!
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9-10 (English Standard Version)
