I Think I Can!
As a kid, one of my favorite books to read was “The Little Engine That Could.” It’s about a little railroad engine that was asked by a long string of freight train to pull it up and over a hill. The freight train had been denied by two big engines, their excuse being that it was too much of a pull for them. The little engine, in spite of its size and uncertainty, willingly accepted the challenge. As it chugged the freight train up the hill, it puffed and puffed saying “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.” After successfully getting the freight train over the hill, the little engine exclaimed “I thought I could, I thought I could, I thought I could.”
Like this little engine, I’ve been faced with a few challenges that appeared to be mountainous. I’m sure you have too. But I’ve learned that with a little optimism and hard work, and a whole lot of trust in God, there are no limits to what I can do.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
