Got fruit? No, I don’t mean apples, oranges, berries or bananas. I mean good wholesome fruit; the kind of fruit that will not only nourish you, but others also. I’m speaking of the fruit that does not bruise nor rot. What kind of fruit could this be?
I’m talking about the fruit of the Holy Spirit. This fruit isn’t for everyone, only those in whom the Holy Spirit works and dwells. It is the evidence of a Spirit-filled, sanctified life which is acquired over time and takes a conscious effort to maintain. It demands a yielding of life to the Spirit’s leading but is so worth the effort. Oh, taste and see…, you will not be disappointed.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:23 (NKJV)
