“To thine own self be true.” A well-known phrase created by Sir William Shakespeare many years ago. Some think these are words from the Bible. Not so. But they are certainly words we should live by. When we are true to ourselves, we are true to our creator, for our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Do all that you can to live in truth and in honesty. You’ll discover a “freedom” you never realized you had.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
