I am not my past and neither are you. Thank God for grace and mercy, which has pardoned us from the strongholds of our past iniquities. Those former things no longer hang over our heads. They no longer hold us in bondage. The chains are loosed! Hallelujah! And we can rejoice, skipping along merrily ever after knowing that Jesus Christ paid the price for past, present, and future sin and all we had to do was accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Yes, I declare it. I am not my past, regardless of what anyone says or thinks. I am free. I am redeemed. I am delivered. I am pardoned. I am not my past.
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
