The Essence of the Love Walk (Clear and Effective)
1 Corinthians 13:14-8
Family we have to see the truth about ourselves before we can pursue the solution. The truth will set you free, and it might also make you mad sometimes. God seems to send this ministry to hard headed sinners like me, David, Paul, Jacob and others. Therefore God wants to make sure we are clear in what He is telling us.
Now I would like to share a quick story with you. I was talking to God about this calling of the Love Walk and how we are to take it to the Christian Community through the renewing of the mind and spiritual maintenance plan. So I asked God, “What makes me different and why would they listen to me?” I know we have 12 years under our belt in spiritual development and living this Love Walk through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and direct instruction from the Word of God. I am clear about my strides of improvement, and some of the ministry members, who see me every day, have expressed that I am walking the way I talk in this Love Walk. But God, I don’t want to sound like I am boasting or being self centered when I share my experience. As a matter of fact, I don’t know and often wonder why you chose me to take this assignment as the Love Walker.
There are many others who have received the same teaching. Then God spoke in a very sound voice saying “It’s not at all about what you’ve said, or about the 12 years of marinating in this Love Walk. This is what made you an authentic Love Walker: Twelve years ago when I charged you with this assignment and you were still unaware of the charge, I led you to the Gospel of John and you started teaching the Love Walk without knowing you were beginning your life’s assignment.
On the second week of your teaching at the gathering, you received a phone call that your son Ethan was in the emergency room because of a fight at school, which left him with all his top teeth pushed back to his throat and required emergency sugery. Forty minutes later you were at the hospital with your son, and the first thing you said to your son was “WOW, I guess I have to walk the way I talk”. You smiled, and then you and your son began praying for the boy who put him in the hospital. And that is why you are the LOVEWALKER…”
So now family I urge you to walk into Romans 12:9-21 and see where you stand at this time. “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you: bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
So ask yourself: Is this you today or is this where you want to be? The missing link is the power of the Holy Spirit. See you next week
