God’s gift of love to us was not a bouquet of flowers.
It wasn’t candy, or a card to pass away the hours.
His gift was to become flesh so He could freely give
His unconditional love for us so each one of us could live.
He gave us sweet salvation, and instruction that is true
To love both friends and foes, and to love our Savior, too.
So as we give our Valentines, remember to thank our King;
The reason we have love to give is that He gave everything.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.
