Mid-Week Bible Talk: The Essence of the Love Walk (Clear and Effective) Continues…

Romans 5: 5, God has poured out His love into our heartsSo my fellow soldiers, in the Lord I stand before you again as we continue this journey that the lovewalk, where God lives.  First of all let me remind you that there is a rough draft to last week’s story.  In the 40 minute drive to the hospital, my flesh (emotion) came out and I was on the phone saying what I was going to do and not do etc. etc. Then I saw two family members at hospital performing in straight flesh.  I saw a mirror and then the Holy Spirit intervened by the time I made it to my Son. You know the rest of the story.

So, some of us may say, even with rough draft I don’t know if I have that kind of love in me, according to the last three weeks of scripture you been teaching.  Well I am here to let you know… yes you do.

Let’s visit Romans 5:5

“And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His Love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us”

So, now that we see that God has poured his love in us, where do we go from here?  How about the final authority on this.

John 13:34-35

“A new command I give you; Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples.  If you love one another.

So this means:

If God is love and Christ is God and we are to be christ like, therefore the mark of the Christian is “The Lovewalk of Jesus Christ”.

Things that make you go Ummmh…

Next week, let’s see what type of love Jesus was talking about.
