What Are You Giving To God?
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Galatians 6:7-8
What are you sowing into your relationship with God, your heavenly Father? In other words, what are you giving to God?
Are you giving Him your doubts and reaping a faithless life?
Are you giving Him your fears and reaping a life void of trust?
Are you giving Him your sadness and reaping a life with no joy?
Think about it. What is your environment like? Are you living the overcoming life that Jesus wants you to live? Does your life display a thirst and hunger for God, and a desire for Him to lead and guide you into all truth and righteousness? John 16:13
Are you giving Him your obedience and reaping His favor?
Are you giving Him your weakness and reaping His grace (his ability)?
Are you giving Him your dreams and reaping His will for your life?
Are you giving Him yourself as a living sacrifice and reaping the life of Christ?
There is a 30-60-100 fold involved in the sowing and reaping process. The measure you give (whether negative or positive) determines the measure that you reap.
What do you need from God? What do you want God to do for you? What have you been asking God for? Think about it. What have you invested into God, so that you can have the type of harvest that you are asking for? Does God have all of you or just 30% or 60%? What is the focus of your life?
I have asked a lot of questions, and I hope you have asked them of yourself. Unless we sow spiritual seeds we cannot reap a spiritual harvest. God is a spirit and we must sow to the spirit. The bible has in many places where Jesus says, “I will If you…..” The life we want is contingent on the life we give to Him. If we continue to live a life that yields to the flesh, we will of the flesh reap corruption. “If you plant in [the soil of] your corrupt nature, you will harvest destruction. But if you plant in [the soil of] your spiritual nature, you will harvest everlasting life.” Galatians 6:8
The ball is in your court, the ball is in my court and there is no getting around it. Are you ready to play by the rules? Pay attention to the seeds you are sowing. Pay attention to your harvest, it will reveal the type of seeds you are sowing.
