Confessing the Word of God
Confession is a mental weapon of spiritual warfare. Keep in mind, that confession is simply saying the same thing. In the case of the Christian, we need to say the same things as God. Confession helps to correct false thinking and false beliefs. Reversing years of false beliefs is a battle that the enemy of your soul does not want you to win. Confessing the truth of God’s word is a very powerful tool. Revelation 12:11, “…and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony:” How much of God’s word is in your testimony?
Confession helps to bring every thought into the obedience of Christ. To renew the mind is to alter its content. Renew is to renovate, to change. Changes in behavior take place when we renew the mind, and change our thinking. Recognize false thinking and replace it with truth, correct thinking. That will come by speaking the word of God, replacing the words that your soul speaks with God’s word.
