Just Let It Go

Some people say that the past should remain history and the future, a mystery. I think that is only partly true. The Word of God clearly tells us what lies ahead, providing that we meet its conditions and requirements. In fact, we can even speak things into existence with just a mustard seed of faith.

I do, however, agree that the past should remain history. Let bygones be bygones. Put away past hurts, offenses, and even debts. Yes, I said debts! As Christians, that’s exactly what we are called to do. For to the same measure that we forgive, our Heavenly Father will forgive us.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
