Inspiration From Within

LIKE NO OTHER

I’m so glad that God doesn’t make cookie-cutter Christians! That would be so boring. We are all unique and we all need to accept our own individuality.  Our personality is a key part of your identity. Some of us are people persons; some are project people. Some of us are out-going and sociable. Others are reserved and quiet – that’s me! Some are leaders; others are followers. There are many variations in the personalities God has given us.

Each personality has its strengths. For example, a gregarious, out-going person makes friends easily and puts people at ease. But the quiet, reserved person is a very good listener who people turn to when they need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. Because we are quiet, we rarely hurt people’s feelings or cause confrontations. We are often considered peacemakers. I hope you are content with who you are right now. If not, just ask God to refine you into exactly who He created you to be. That’s when you’ll have peace within, and you’ll rejoice in your God-given uniqueness.

For you created my inmost being;
 you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Psalm 139:13-16 (NIV)
