Mid-Week Bible Talk: Keep Him First in All Things

Keep Him First in All Things

How are you doing this morning? It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Today, I wonder if you remembered to tell the Lord, “thank you” for watching over you as you slept last night? Were you so preoccupied with getting to work that you forgot to take time to let God know how much you appreciate Him? Were you so focused on applying your make up, ironing your clothes, preparing breakfast, that you forgot to offer God grateful praise?

So often throughout our day, we become so focused on keeping our same routine until we forget the most important ingredient for the day. We become so committed to following the traditions of man that we unconsciously block God out of our daily tasks. How did you get where you are in your life? How did you achieve the success you enjoy today? How did you make it through the night when the enemy set demonic attacks against you? It was the Lord’s doing.

As you read the first paragraph were you convicted? Were you the one who forgot to stop and say, “thank you?” Were you the one who organized your day minute by minute until you wrote God out of the schedule? It is important for each of us to realize where we are could not happen if the Lord had not made it possible. No matter how much you think you know, your knowledge is limited. No matter how much people applaud you, their claps are temporary. My friend, Keep Him First In All Things!

Do not allow the enemy or anyone make you think life is possible without the Lord. The Bible declares in Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. All these things will be added unto you, after you seek first the kingdom of God. The blessings always come after the obedience. Allow me to ask you one question: Is God waiting on you to make the first move?

My brother, my sister, Keep Him First In All Things! Never make any decision without consulting the Lord for guidance. Just because someone makes it appear wonderful does not mean it is genuine. Just because something looks great does not mean it is from the Lord. Beloved, be not deceived by the tactics of the enemy. The Bible declares in Psalms 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

Never lose your desire for more of the Lord. Never take the Lord for granted in your life. Never allow flesh to puff you up. You must learn to seek the Lord. You must learn to converse with the Lord. The Bible declares in Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.

In whatever you do in life, Keep Him First In All Things!

Prayer for Today: Father, before I make any decisions help me to always call upon You. In the name of Jesus …

Amen!
